who we are
C Cubed is a student-driven organization dedicated to reducing educational inequalities and empowering students to achieve their full potential. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities, we hope to inspire students to discover their passions, set meaningful goals, and confidently navigate their paths toward success.
how we started
The idea for C Cubed was formed out of a realization among students at Mallard Creek High School, which was the need for stronger support systems and resources to help students succeed beyond the classroom. Initially, we began as a DECA project focused on career development, where we aimed to create an impactful program addressing educational inequalities using a project management process to promote/educate the knowledge and skills needed for different careers through various initiatives. As we worked on this project, our vision expanded beyond the competition. Throughout our competition, we received large amounts of feedback from advisors and peers about how we should aim to continue our initiative after high school. Although we didn't know how to steer our goals and vision, as current sophomores in college, we now have clarity on how to continue our initiative. We have now recognized the long-term potential of our efforts to genuinely impact our peers and community. With a passion for creating change, we officially launched C Cubed to bridge gaps in educational opportunities and provide students with the tools they need to thrive.
why we started
At the end of 2022, North Carolina ranked last in a nationwide report on K-12 public school funding by the Education Law Center (ELC). This highlighted several critical challenges, including:
• Lack of access to college counselors.
• Reduced student engagement after virtual learning.
• Decreased public school funding and college enrollment.
• Inadequate support for career exploration.
Recognizing these obstacles, we were determined to create a platform that would address these gaps and empower our peers to conquer their academic and professional goals.
messages from the founders :)
"During high school, many people told us to keep the initiative going, but once we reached college, we were not sure how. During freshman year, we were still getting accustomed to the environment, with this in the back of our minds, as we wanted to still make a difference in our community. Throughout the year, I realized there were many topics and ideas that I was not made aware of in high school, and that there was a noticeable gap between the college-based knowledge I had prior to entering college, compared to others. After understanding more about the college resource gap between many schools in our area, we wanted to address these issues further, by helping bring students together to form connections and grow. Throughout our first semester of sophomore year, we formed and consolidated our ideas further, with further established perspectives. I hope we can continue to make a difference similar to our time at Mallard Creek, with a broader community!" -Meera

"Throughout high school, Meera and I witnessed firsthand how access to resources and support for post-graduation opportunities varied among students. This was our motivation behind starting C Cubed, which turned into a wonderful community of assistance for so many motivated students. After taking a step back from the organization once we graduated, we saw our original motivation through a new light thanks to our time at college. College has given me new perspectives, insights, and ideas to bring to C Cubed that I had not had before. I am so excited to continue making C Cubed a resource hub for students and bring these new ideas to light this year. I look forward to seeing C Cubed grow and continue making a meaningful difference for students." -Mya
what we do
At C³, everything we do falls under our guiding principles: Collaborate, Commit, and Conquer. These categories shape our initiatives and programs, from mentorship opportunities to skill-building workshops. We connect students with mentors, provide resources for career readiness, and host events that inspire students to explore various career paths and professional opportunities. Each program is designed to empower students and equip them with the tools to achieve their goals while fostering a community of support and shared success.
future goals
As we look ahead, our goal is to expand our reach and provide even more students with access to the tools and resources they need to succeed. We envision a future where every student has the opportunity to Collaborate, Commit, and Conquer their aspirations.
